Drive™ Workshop

Moorshire Group offers a workshop for teachers, administrators and law enforcement officials that provides a comprehensive view of the 21st century teen, how they think, process information and learn. It also demonstrates the ease-of-use of the Drive™ for School Program and involves teachers in a hands-on activity from the Reality Checkmate™ Challenge Book.

Although Drive for School can be used out-of-the-box, Moorshire Group believes it is essential to understand the ‘thinking’ behind the program. That includes several marketing tools and the concept of Ownership Learning™; the difference between teens today and a generation ago; and innovative techniques to teach them and reach them.

Indeed, many teachers have noted that they began using ideas discussed in the workshop to change the way they teach.

Most important, teachers come to realize that by allowing teens to reach their own conclusions, students have a better chance not only to remember what they learned but also to apply it. Workshop attendees are shown how to become teaching ‘coaches’ to assist in this
type of learning, and they have the opportunity to experience it in the workshop.

Workshops are usually funded by government departments, agencies or administrations. These have included offices of highway safety, and departments of transportation and education. They can also be funded through schools or groups of teachers.
